A surfski or (sit on top) kayak is designed so that if flooded with water the boat is able to drain itself, and it is easy to remount. Kayaking is a watersport that involves paddling using a double-sided oar or paddle and a small boat known as a kayak. Surfski began as a specialized form of kayaking surf lifesaving and has evolved into a fast growing international sport. The boats come in a variety of sizes and types, depending on their intended use. The boat sits low in the water and usually only accommodates a single paddler, but tandem kayaks hold two people and some boats hold three or four people.
